   Radiography is the study of technologies which use ionising and non-ionising (e. g. ultrasound) radiation for producing diagnostic images and administering radiation therapy. Skills learned include: preparing radioactive materials and operating imaging, ultrasound and X-ray equipment, positioning patients, screens and equipment accurately, calculating duration and intensity of radiation doses, communicating with patients, their relatives and other medical and health professionals. The main purpose of this field of study is to develop an understanding of the principles and practices of radiographic imaging and treatment.
