   Electrical and Electronic Engineering and Technology is the study of planning, designing, developing, testing, installing and maintaining electrical and electronic equipment, machinery and systems. It includes designing and maintaining computers and equipment for communication and electrical power generation and distribution. Skills learned include: designing electrical and electronic circuits and systems, preparing and interpreting specifications, drawings and regulations, analysing the performance of electrical and electronic systems. The main purpose of this field of study is to develop an understanding of the installation, testing, maintenance and repair of electrical and electronic equipment, machinery and systems, electrical and electronic wiring, circuitry and componentry. It also involves developing an understanding of electrical safety and safety regulations and an ability to organise, co-ordinate, and complete the tasks required in the design, testing, installation, maintenance and repair of electrical and electronic systems and equipment.
