The main purpose of this field of study is to develop an understanding of the installation, testing, maintenance and repair of electrical and electronic equipment, machinery and systems, electrical and electronic wiring, circuitry and componentry. It also involves developing an understanding of electrical safety and safety regulations and an ability to organise, co-ordinate, and complete the tasks required in the design, testing, installation, maintenance and repair of electrical and electronic systems and equipment.
